Chris Mathew down on Prez speech...

I was going to say WTF, but he's saying some things that we need to think about.
Step up for our party, step up for Bill Clinton... own what he earned.

I agree. He should have acknowledged Bill Clinton tonight. I know that he thanked him separately Liberal_Stalwart71 Nov 2012 #1

I imagine Obama would be a great campaigner for her, in the same role as Bill was for us this year

He ran it. He called the shots. It's HIS speech. Why should Clinton get a shout-out more than Plouffe or Axelrod or...

It's a silly and ridiculous criticism. Dude has won and already people have started their petty concerns.

With that I am out of here. It's only downhill from here. I sincerely hope many here grasp the true significance of his speech and will avoid getting caught up in breathless fits and fainting spells and petty critiques. We are once in a lifetime witness to one of the greatest figures in history. After this campaign I am 100% on board no-doubts when to comes to Obama.

Adios DU.

Don't you leave DU for that!

It's a big tent, and we agree to disagree often, but we don't leave when we are right.

Stand up and fight for what's right!

If he would have thanked some of his team members by name and omitted Bill Clinton's name, then I would have thought it was wrong. But he thanked his wife, daughters, and Joe Biden by name. I believe Bill falls under the greatest political team and volunteers category.

I don't see it as that big of a deal!

Just my opinion.

Bill Clinton worked it for this prez (and many other dems). BC earned a nod on the big stage tonight. Tomorrow morning, half the country will still be spitting venom at our prez. Tonight, he could have really owned what he/we earned.

Isn't he a democrat, didn't Obama clean up some of Bill Clinton's mess(Doma, dadt, no healthcare, nafta) and didn't the Clinton team run a really nasty campaign in 08, first birther lawsuits were Hillary supporters. And gave Hillary a job to fix her image. They owed Obama.

President re-elect (in 12) Obama thanked President re-elect (in 96) Clinton personally, as soon as the mitwit finished admiting defeat.

DUers thanked him too.

Not happy? Go ask President Clinton if he's offended. I bet he would answer a firm "no, not at all"

End of fake drama.

Like Biden, he just doesn't do that wort of backslapping. I love that kind of backslapping but guess what Matthews, he is the fucking President.
