Donald Trump has been getting away with lots of things as of late, including igniting a storm of hateful and racist rhetoric across the country not seen since the 1950s. However, that in itself is not a crime. Appearing to be obsessed with becoming president, Trump is someone who will say or do anything to attain the highest position in the land. And hes just attracted the attention of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The FBI is looking into how thousands of Democratic National Committee emails were hacked and the focus is on Trump and his agitators. Here is the full statement from AP:
The FBI said Monday it is investigating how thousands of Democratic National Committee emails were hacked, a breach that Hillary Clintons campaign maintains was committed by Russia to benefit Donald Trump. A statement from the FBI confirmed that it is investigating a cyber intrusion involving the DNC, adding that a compromise of this nature is something we take very seriously.'
The Clinton campaign believes that Trump received assistance from Russia, whose president Vladimir Putin, appears to support Trump because of Trumps disdain for NATO. Clintons campaign manager Robby Mook said:
We need to be concerned Trump and his allies made changes to the platform to make it more pro-Russian, and we saw him talking about how NATO shouldnt intervene [in Russian disputes]. So I think when you put it all together, its a disturbing picture.

(889 posts)This is a great lesson on why it's a good idea for the party head to have one job -- running the fucking party.
House Reps spend most of their time working on the next election. I'm not sure someone who is competent could handle it either.

(6,716 posts)This was my beef with DWS. She knew this happened and did nothing about it. When it was reported a couple of months ago, she should have sat both candidates down and talked about what was in them, etc. If she would have done this, everyone could have been prepared.
