2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThe convention last night has me depressed.
Why?
Because, frankly, I do not know how the campaign can top it. Every keynoter kicked ass. Every single one. How could anyone top it?
Comparing what we saw last night with the RNC's first night isn't like comparing apples and oranges. It is like comparing peaches and rotting entrails.

(21,784 posts)Like I've predicted, despite some hiccups at the start and hold-outs among the Bernie supporters, this convention is becoming a virtual love-feast compared to that dumpster fire last week in Cleveland.

I just love how they incorporated the music to give life and joy to the event. Love the choices, Well done!

(28,017 posts)Great potential. I hope he has access to top quality voice instructors, because that natural talent is potentially huge. I mean YUGE.
The rest of the music and singing was the antithesis of Ted Nugent, in quality and in presentation.

Cecile? GREAT! She is fantastic. I heard her live once, and the audience went wild.

(25,471 posts)Don't be depressed. Be glad that, unlike the GOP, we can put together that kind of night and still have plenty left for the rest of the convention.
Prepare for more of the same. Day one was just the beginning.

(25,471 posts)The difference between the conventions is always pretty clear, but this cycle, it's remarkable.

But Bernie really did a great job last night, as did Sarah and the Senator in toning the boys down.
