Exciting as hell!

(12,011 posts)It's exciting to see the first woman be nominated by our party, even if I didn't support her in the primaries. I can imagine this moment is really exciting for her supporters, especially those who supported her and had their hearts broken 8 years ago.
I really hope my fellow Bernie supporters don't act up and ruin it for you.

(88,844 posts)What an astounding day. "...I think we have to sit and think about that for a minute..." - Eugene Robinson on with Rachel Maddow and Brian Williams. What an gobsmacking day. "And how far the nation has come in that time. It's just extraordinary." - Eugene Robinson again.

(88,844 posts)We're watching history being made! HERstory!
I'm barely breathing. My heart's in my throat. I can't believe what I'm finally witnessing. I'm 63 this year. I can't believe my eyes! I can't believe my ears! My heart can't believe it either! All I can think of is my daughter.
I'm crying like an infant.

(879 posts)that they are going through the process of voting instead of Sanders not putting his name in and ceding his delegates to Hillary. It's a fantastic opportunity for his supporters to be acknowledged, and also a historic moment for her. Hopefully this will be cathartic for everyone involved.

For 144 years women couldn't vote in US (for some much longer). Nominating 1st woman nominee of major party is very big deal #DemsInPhilly
