I've always loved him, but as a college campus rape victim he holds a special place in my heart. His letter to the Stanford victim gave me the courage to tell my story for the first time. I shared what happened to a UU congregation in June. It happened in 1986. I have kept it internalized for almost 30 years. The Standford victim and Joe set me free.
