I think that's going to look tame compared to the meltdown the Orange Con Man is going to have when he debates Hillary.
He's already losing it. Look at his tweet storm after Hillary's speech. Just wait until she is standing feet from him getting under his skin.

(20,135 posts)Remember how terrible McCain was -- and he defended Obama from that woman who called him "an Arab" as an insult/slur.

(58,724 posts)What is crazy is that Hannity and his ilk hated McCain. They thought he was too liberal. And they love Trump.
Whereas Glenn Beck thinks Trump is too liberal and supported Ted Cruz.
And the Bush family is sitting it out entirely.
Something very strange is going on within their party.

(11,605 posts)As bad as Bush was, he wasn't overtly racist, he actually tried to win some Hispanic votes instead of using them as a punching bag, and he at least paid lip service to the fact that not all Muslims are terrorists. I hated him when he was president but compared to Trump he doesn't seem so bad. And that is pretty scary.

(30,481 posts)That was word for word what you would expect to hear from a Democrat and with the exact same passion. That was Kerry getting it briefly handed to him. I absolutely love Kerry but more often than not he speaks to the American people as if they can keep up with his mind. Watch that clip. The simpleton did well for himself with that one.

(2,010 posts)I think that played well for Shrub. He was impassioned, clear, and reasoned (albeit completely wrong).
I miss the days when I just couldn't stand the opposition and saw them as absolutely horrible at their job and bad for America. I'd take that over being terrified that this is the end of the country.

An interesting read from Chris Hitchens, he was no fan of the left...which makes the read even more compelling.

I was very surprised back then how little consequence was had with all the anomalies in Ohio's results. Although I remember it up'd the visibility of the election watchdog group, blackboxvoting.org.

I don't understand why Bush didn't collapse in the polls after the debate, other than we were still shellshocked by 9-11.
