2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumTrump just can't connect the dots. He claims Khan's wife
was not allowed to speak because she is a woman, while her husband was endorsing a woman for POTUS.
The guy is on the ropes. It's time to keep pummeling him. And then keep kicking him when he falls to the ground.
After Nov. Donald Trump should be so embarrassed he will never show his orange face in public again.

(21,157 posts)She strikes me as an abused wife. I see her "help me" look in her eyes.
Mrs Kahn looked very strong and brave but looked like she was going to cry at times.

(2,674 posts)Blames her not talking to being a Muslin's wife when in truth she was afraid she couldn't speak about her son without breaking down in tears. If I'd lost one of my children, I don't think I'd be able to talk about it without crying.

(24,006 posts)My mother certainly would. My younger brother, and only sibling, died in 1978, at age 23. He was studying photography. Something went wrong while he was attempting to do underwater photography while scuba diving in the winter. Probably a cold-induced arrhythmia.
It has been 38 years. My mom and I both still cry when talking about him. Not every time, as grief does soften with the accumulation of the years, but never truly goes away.
I completely empathized with Mrs. Khan's statement that she cannot bear to look at her son's pictures. After my brother died, I framed several pictures that he had taken during his studies, and was able to display them. However, it was years before I could add a portrait of him to the family picture gallery on my bookshelves. For whatever reason, I could look at pictures by him, but not pictures of him. There is one photo, taken by a friend, as they set off on their photographic adventure that cold February morning, that is still agonizing to look at.

(466 posts)My 29-year old son was killed 20 years ago in an accident and I still grieve his loss. The ache never goes away. The venom that Trump spews about the Khan' s is proof that he is an empty husk of a man. He truly is a monster with no empathy at all. I cannot bear to imagine what a catastrophe we would have if this awful thing actually wins. He is pure evil.

(153,169 posts)I do not have kids but one thing I do know is you never profess to know another person's grief / loss, you just do not ever do that. There is nothing and no one Trump will not judge, including parents who have lost a child.....it is indecent.
