Julian Assange won’t say whether a foreign government was involved in DNC email leak

By Michelle Ye Hee Lee July 31 at 2:34 PM

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange refused to say whether a foreign government was involved in the leak of Democratic National Committee emails that were published by his anti-secrecy organization.

In an interview with NBC's "Meet the Press" that aired Sunday, Assange repeatedly declined to say whether the source of the emails was a foreign government and called it "an interesting question" for the press.

"We don't give any material away as to who our sources are. It's a security matter for us as to who our sources are," Assange said.

He did not answer host Chuck Todd's question about whether the WikiLeaks founder is troubled by the idea of a foreign government providing him information.

Isn't it great we don't need anyone to "hack" Trump? We have Trump speaking his own words. glennward Aug 2016 #3

Much more devastating because no one can doctor the results.
