Would an authentic "Lonesome Rhodes" incident start to turn Trump's supporters away?

They roar in agreement when he bashes people they perceive to be not like them. But what if he was caught on video (or better yet, on a live broadcast) undeniably bashing or belittling them? Someone that arrogant is bound to slip up and expose his true feelings.

I have little doubt that the only people on the planet for which he has even a modicum of respect are probably his children. (It is pretty freaking obvious he has never respected any of his wives.)

That should have been his Lonesome Rhodes moment.

It wasn't.

I don't get it.

If he said I could open fire on all of you in THIS crowd and wouldn't lose a vote - well maybe that would be cause for reconsideration.

I think if things go the way they SHOULD, no more political hit jobs on Hillary and no major events that can be used to his advantage, his floor in the general probably is about 39% give or take a percentage point.

You can insert whatever truly unimaginable thing you can come up with, nothing is off the table, and two groups of people ARE gong to vote for him 1) the truly hateful people who are his "base" 2) Those people who are so diseased from right wing hatred that they truly view Hillary as the spawn of Satan.

So I guess it all depends of what percentage of our population can be truly deemed as being irreparably evil and insane.

I would say the truly hateful types are probably a smaller fraction, maybe 25% of or so of who will vote for him.

I know a lot of truly decent people who have been sucked into republican bullshit deep enough they will vote for him because they truly believe the democrat, in this case Hillary, is demonic, literally or figuratively.

Most of his vote will be that ...
