Donald Trump's failure will be a cumulative thing.

The current failure with his attack on a Gold Star family is just one incident. As the campaign proceeds, Trump will make gaffe after gaffe. He can't help doing so, because he has no filters between his roiling brain and his weak mouth. He will continue to say stupid, hurtful things, because he is a stupid, hurtful person.

As he does this, the negative impact on his campaign will accumulate. Today, he is condemned, even by people in his own party, for his insensitivity and rude attack on the Khan family. Tomorrow, it will be something else. Each time he blunders due to his ignorance and filter-free brain to mouth connection, the effects will accumulate.

I encourage The Donald™ to proceed apace with his thoughtless comments. As his supporters drop away, one by one and by the hundreds, so will his poll results, finally culminating in a 350+ electoral vote win for Hillary Clinton, who does not make such idiotic gaffes.

Just keep talking, Herr Drumpf. We'll be listening for the next moronic statement.

Every week, Trump will say some stupid and outrageous comment. That's certain.

the sad, weak and pathetic Trump will depress turnout down ballot, allowing Democrats to retake the senate and pick up seats in the House.

I think that would be a more difficult victory.

In the first place, I don't think Trump will bail. His ego won't let him. Also, I don't believe Pence has the capability of defeating Hillary Clinton on his own. In fact, if Trump leaves the race, I think it would essentially destroy the Republican's chances altogether, giving Clinton a huge landslide victory due to Republicans becoming disillusioned with the election and staying home.

I seriously think that Clinton is going to win with over 350 electoral votes. I believe that the Trump campaign will steadily lose ground, month by month, leading to Democrats flipping enough Red states to give her that landslide.

The general election campaign is just beginning. Watch it go nuts as the season progresses.
