Corey Lewandowski berates Muslim dad: ‘Capt. Kahn would still be alive’ if Trump was president

Donald Trump surrogate Corey Lewandowski on Monday joined in the campaign’s offensive against Khizr Khan, the father of an Muslim Army soldier who died serving in Iraq in 2004.

During a discussion on CNN about Trump’s attack on Khan, who called out the GOP nominee’s anti-Muslim policies at the Democratic National Convention last week, Lewandowski argued that the grieving father attacked Trump first.

“If Donald Trump was the president, Capt. Kahn would still be alive today because we never would have entered the Iraq war in the first place,” Lewandowski declared. “This is something that the Kahn family decided to engage in by going to the Democratic convention and telling their story.”

CNN’s John Berman pointed out that Trump had also attacked Capt. Humayun Khan’s mother for appearing on stage but not speaking during the convention. “When someone attacks you publicly in front of the stage of millions of people, you have the ability to respond,” Lewandowski insisted.

He also claims Mr. Khan attacks Trump first, does anyone remember many times in the past year where Muslims have been attacked by Trump, no, Trump has been doing the attacking and getting away with it. Like many more lies told and repeated many times by RWers who would not know the truth if it slapped them in the face. The talk shows and FOX does not give truths. Trump attacked McCain and so many more, this is Trump, this is the RNC nominee. Trump attacked Obama many times, attacked his citizenship, if Trump has placed himself as a candidate for the presidency he should be told he will be attacked daily, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If he is unable to handle attacks then he needs to rethink his ability to be president of the US.
