has. He's also at the very least distancing himself, if not laying the ground work for a rupture:

"I challenge the nominee to set the example for what our country can and should represent," McCain writes, in sentences that are bolded and underlined. "It is time for Donald Trump to set the example for our country and the future of the Republican Party. While our Party has bestowed upon him the nomination, it is not accompanied by unfettered license to defame those who are the best among us."

I doubt the Khans will find his statement as weak as posters here do.

I am saying that if McCain was true to statements he could NOT continue to support someone who wants to set policies that completely contradict that.

In other words..he has no balls and he should withdraw support from Trump until he does the right thing which he will never do.
It seems his daughters have more guts and integrity than that old fart does.

I suggest that you stop getting all of your information from obscure internet sites;

The first site I found with this story - WND.com - sports an advertizement spread across the top to the home page reading: THIS BOOK STARTS... WHERE "CLINTON CASH LEAVES OFF"...BILL AND HILL ARE REALLY ... PARDNERS IN CRIME. (Several advertisements alternate in that spot so you may have to access the site several times before it comes up.)
http://www.wnd.com/2015/07/mccain-and-the-pow-cover-up/ Yep that's is a real reliable website.

Anther site http://www.gx2527leftinvietnam.com/mccainm.html bashing McCain is so reputable it doesn't even have a name and is linked to some obscure group called "Task Force Omega, Inc"

I could go on, but frankly your accusations aren't work any more of my time.

In fact I find your attempts to paint McCain, an acknowledged war hero, with the same article published on several weird, obscure websites only visited by conspiracy theory lovers and haters of Hillary Clinton to be very amusing.

I also find your reply to my most recent post on this subject to weak and totally without substance. When your best response is to label my post to "desperate" and and say it has "ceased to be amusing", I find that to be pathetic and very, very amusing. Is that the best you've got.

Tammy Duckworth and Max Cleland were disparaged for their service to their country. McCain has first, last and always sold his soul to the party. And to pledge support to someone who said he was crazy due to his POW days is over the top. Party loyalty is McCain's middle name.

you DO own the fucker 100%, and he obviously owns you. To claim otherwise is ANOTHER dishonorable attempt at slight of hand. Same with every single Repug.

The Repug party became so sick of itself that it has exploded into various factions of miscellaneous hate and insanity and the result is the single most inappropriate, unqualified, vulgar, dishonest, principleless and dangerous (to country and civilization) pretense of a candidate in American history. Considering Palin and a few others, that is for damn sure saying something. Either clearly, cleanly cut ties and at least attempt to rebuild a respectable party or ride the flaming clown bus into the quickly approaching brick wall.

The media on the other hand is reading the entire statement and using it to crucify Trump. Next to Mr. Khan's address to the convention, McCain's statement's are the most damaging news item to hit Trump to date.
