President Barack Obama took an implicit dig at Donald Trump for belittling the parents of a slain Muslim U.S. soldier, saying Monday at a speech in Atlanta that the families of veterans are a “powerful reminder of the true strength of America.”

Obama did not mention Trump’s name in his speech to disabled veterans in Atlanta, but said he’s “pretty tired of some folks talking trash” about the nation’s military. Of the families of slain soldiers, he said, “we have to do everything we can to honor them – and be humbled by them.”

“No one, no one, has given more for our freedom and our security than our Gold Star families,” he said of the families of slain U.S. soldiers. His remarks came at the start of what he called his “final formal address” to the nation’s veterans at the annual Disabled American Veterans conference, held this year at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Atlanta.

There are so many good, well-informed people throughout Georgia, I hope it will become the next Virginia, Colorado, North Carolina.

I haven't followed the races that closely from Georgia, but they have provided some pillars of government from that great state in the past. I hope it's not another Texas, and I'm just dreaming wishful dreams.

7. It's no-win for Trump to respond to this.

If he acknowledges that he thinks that Obama is referring to him, he accepts the accusation that he was trash-talking Gold-Star families. If he doesn't acknowledge the comments, every still knows that Obama was referring to him, and it makes him look weaker to his fans that are all about that strength!

A little bit of clever wording can do a number on someone whose strategy is so ham-fisted.
