Clinton, Trump deadlocked in latest Georgia poll

Clinton, Trump deadlocked in latest Georgia poll

A new poll shows Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton received a bump after the Democratic National Convention and is now tied with Republican candidate Donald Trump in Georgia.

The exclusive Channel 2 poll conducted by Landmark/Rosetta Stone polled nearly 800 likely Georgia voters. The poll, conducted over the weekend, found Trump and Clinton deadlocked with 45 percent of the vote.

Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson received 4 percent and Green Party candidate Jill Stein received 1 percent. Only 3 percent of voters are undecided.

1. The influx of people of color moving back south has a lot to do with this

Georgia is a place that a lot of Blacks have moved back to and where more Latinos are popping up. There has been a bit of a northern exodus of people of color from the north because the cost of living is simply too high. The result of this is changing demographics of the south which will bear out in future elections. So this isn't really surprising. I don't think the closeness of Georgia is an outlier. I still expect the Republicans to carry it in November but 4-8 years from now it could be a true tossup.

and industry moving there. I know there has been some union push-back on the 'right to work' bullshit, too. More college educated people generally means more Dems.

Would love to carry Georgia.

or a superpac put some money into Georgia. It's as good a place as any to start to remove the grip the Thug Party has on the Southeastern US.
