On Melania Trump’s Nude Photos

The photos are nothing but a crude attempt to plant a red herring into our political news cycle.

The most disturbing thing about this story is that by publishing it, Donald Trump and the Post are hanging Melania out to dry in a culture which is still, at its core, puritanical, and they know it, never mind the front of she’ll be a model first lady because she’s super hot. They are counting on her being retributively shamed by liberals who are hungry to avenge sexist slights against Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton in order to gain what? A couple of points in the polls?

The opportunity to put his wife — who is clearly uncomfortable with the level of scrutiny she has received, especially since the scandal of her speech at the RNC, for being the wife of Donald Trump — in front of a camera again, fully-clothed, to be stripped down in print or by talking heads on television against her will and without her permission by a media which happily trots out the madonna/whore dichotomy whenever it possibly can? Donald Trump is complicit in allowing a publication which has endorsed him to victimize his own wife. If there is any story worth talking about here, that is it.

3. This, after they made her read a speech

In front of millions of people, that they had plagerized from the current First Lady. I feel a little sympathetic toward Ms. Trump.

I am sure she knew she was marrying a hateful man; but, splashing nude photos of your son's mother on a New York circular is really beyond the pale.

I think some women's rights organization should strongly rebuke Trump's disgusting exploitation of his wife.

10. She chose him w/his history, so no I don't feel great sympathy for her. She can also leave him.

Even with a prenup, she will end up with a hefty paycheck, more money than most people will ever see in their lives.

I don't have a huge amount of sympathy for her. It just kinda ticks me off when women, for whatever reason, don't stand up for themselves. And they let a bunch of men, in this case, Trump's idiot campaign staff, do things like this. I can't imagine a man doing this to his wife, to take some of the heat off him.

These men are disgusting. Where's Ivanka been?

...that he refused to address rumors that Bush 41 had bailed out of his WWII bomber prematurely leaving some of his crew to die.

Seriously, you'd give up an opportunity to do some damage to Trump because it's declasse' to show nude pictures of his wife? Do you think Ken Starr's Republican Party would show the same consideration to Hillary?

This election is a knife fight, not sparring by Marquis of Queensberry rules. Are we in it to win it or not?

7. What bothers me about this is the outrage we'd be hearing if it were Michelle Obama

I don't give a rat's ass if someone did or didn't pose nude - it's their decision. But I just KNOW that if it had been Michelle Obama in those photos that the repubs would be trotting out their family values BS and turn it into the scandal of the century (right up there with a blow job by consenting adults that was nobody else' business except for a spouse who chose to forgive and move on).

Besides brain-stuck Republicans are the only ones who take deep offense at the human form.

I'm with everyone else that this is a big 'whatever'... and probably a Trump ploy to get away from the Khans.

All it does is further highlights the hypocrisy of the right, and the "anything for ratings" mindset of the media. If this were the wife of a Democratic presidential candidate, you can be sure Republicans would come out in full force, calling her horrible names and worse.

But we are not like them and need to ignore it.

And tries to call them artistic. Ha. Not fashion not art, just second rate soft core crap for publications no one ever heard of- and a Camel cigarette ad. Prolly with Joe Camel. Ha.

It was 25 years ago, right?

But I think it does go to the point that Melania Trump is willing to do certain things for money. Like marrying a monster.
