Paul Ryan: We're in fight to retake soul of Republican Party

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/paul-ryan-were-in-fight-to-retake-soul-of-republican-party/ar-BBv73Qm?li=BBnb7Kz&ocid=edgsp

COLORADO SPRINGS -- House Speaker Paul Ryan told a donor audience convened by the billionaire Koch brothers that they're in a fight to "retake the soul" of the Republican Party.

"We have to do a better job of taking the moral high ground...showing [conservative] ideas in practice," Ryan said on Monday.

"And it will help us retake the soul of our own party, which we have our own challenges with these days."

-snip-

Ryan paused.

"We have a different kind of nominee now," he said, as the room began filling with laughter.

"He's unique."

Indeed, instead of the soul of the party you have the asshole of the party.

plausible or viable if not for decades of groundwork.

To pretend these avarice filled, racist, treasonous, bigoted, anti government, theocratic, voter disenfranchising, warmongering bunch of assholes were within eye shot with a ground based telescope of decent is delusional as the Free Market Jeebus riding a dinosaur folks.

No Bushs are not okay or even acceptable. Reagan was not even tolerable much less good, in fact the fucker was evil. Nixon wasn't an alright guy he was a damn wicked ass lying crook willing to undermine democracy and ride racism to power.

Trump isn't the root of the rot, he is but the most recent incarnation and isn't even the worst they have to offer.

What is up with the bizarre effort to whitewash the previous year's vile fucks? It almost seems some Democrats are more focused on wiping, dangling, and mainstreaming the Bush junta than the fucking TeaPubLieKLANs are.

If the TeaPubLieKLANs lost their soul it wasn't much more than crusty unwashed socks full of silverfish and roaches for many decades anyway.

They have couched their platform in all kind of coded and weasel words.

Now they have an unpolished candidate that has never been a politician - saying all those things that they veiled in coded and weasel words and they are being exposed. Trump is the Repug Party and the Repug Party is Trump.

The only way they can get back their sinful soul is if they repudiate Trump and take his nomination away from him - but they realize they can't. They made their bed - now they have to lie in it. And I mean 'lie'.

The Apricot Asshole has been saying out loud--and turning it up to 11--what the repunks actually think in private and spoke only in dog whistles. The only redeeming thing tRump did was to blow their cover and they don't like it.

and now you want to "reclaim the soul of your party"? Good luck with that monster you created. Trump is not the problem. He is just a reflection of you and your f*cked up party. The republican party has been bathing in a toxic stew of hate, greed, racism, and bigotry and now wonders why it smells like shit? These people are ridiculous.

Two weeks ago, he was telling us that the DNC would be an "infomercial" full of "politically correct moralizing." He must be panicking at the American people's embrace of that "politically correct moralizing," which is rightwingspeak for "extolling the values of the Declaration of Independence and Constitution."

Goodbye and good riddance. America has had enough of the GOP's Contract on America. FU!

In some ways it's nice to see Trump reflect exactly what GOP values represent; something few of us desire to see our country become.

Your turmoil works to bring democrats together like no dem speech probably could. And that's saying a lot, because last week's DNC was a barn burner of a great party!!!

What the party stands for fundamentally (screwing over 99% of us to make 1% even richer) can't be openly advocated for, so they have to package it in a toxic mix of hatred and division.

So, good luck with that because I have news for you, Paul.

Your party has no soul.
