Wikileaks reveals how DNC tried to smear Christie, Trump in N.J.

TRENTON — New emails released by Wikileaks suggest Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg (D-Bergen) allowed the Democratic National Committee to pen statements for her attacking Gov. Chris Christie in an effort to hobble both Donald Trump's campaign and the governor.

The international non-profit journalistic organization recently published a trove of hacked emails from DNC staffers showing that on two occasions, the party sought out Weinberg to blast Christie over his service to Trump's campaign, and on one occasion, she agreed to do so.

On the first occasion, reported by PolitickerNJ, Weinberg was provided talking quotes for a press release from the DNC to assail Christie's new role as transition planning chief for Donald Trump.
