Toomey keeps trying to show that he's been "for the people" - not his $$$-giving lobbyists.

HA!

And here's a rather detailed account of who his $$$ buddies are, including his "A" that he earned from the NRA:

http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2016/08/04/3805038/bloomberg-backs-toomey-despite-guns-marriage-climate/

Yeah, he "crossed" party lines twice - knowing that his "compromise" issues would not be passed by any of his other "righties!"

Makes him "look" like he cares while he knows full well it will cost him nothing!

WHAT A FRAUD!!!!

and religiously and militarily unbalanced right wingers in office, not another cool-eyed Democrat.

Of course, this is a worst case of the kind of "bombs" that will drop during the next 3 months, even if things get amazing normal, but we need to be prepared for whatever happens.

Btw, Republican Pat Toomey could lose his house seat (!!!!), though Michael Bloomberg is supporting him. Toomey is an extreme social conservative corporatist on Right Wing Watch's list. Like Mike Pence, he also embodies the very useful fusion of religious morality and Dark-Money interests.

Back in 2006, Toomey described his pro-corporate advocacy as “all about protecting our Christian heritage” and “a culture that is under assault.” For Toomey, “protecting our Christian heritage” also includes preventing oversight on Wall Street’s reckless “derivatives trading.” Not only is Toomey a staunch opponent of Wall Street Reform, but worked as a derivatives trader.

Donald Trump's daily displays of instability and ignorance are occurring in real time, as opposed to dredged-up dated emails from someone that many consider to be a traitor and a criminal. If Assange wanted to dominate news cycles with his targeted revelations, he must be deeply disappointing that rapid-fire antics from the guy he wants to see defeating Hillary is not making that plot any easier.

picture. However, there are still way too many variables in this election & this only being August, that more could occur, both positive or negative for our candidate. So, way too early to be 100% confident at this point in the election.

That said, if all goes our way, I would bet on that tsunami you speak of going down ballot because of the presidential candidate, the popularity of our current President & I do not think the people are very pleased about the do-nothing republicans & all of their obstruction, especially not allowing President Obama's Supreme Court nominee to have hearings on the appointment.

The people have seen that the republicans are willing to put their ideology over the country even to the point of hurting it economically & in other ways. Personally, I think that is a change they want. Also, I think the republicans party platform is so extreme & the fact of where they are on social issues again is not where the country is.

So, I agree with you but for me, too soon to say it right now but I can't wait to be cheering on election night, turn over briefly to fox after the election is called for Clinton & announcing the Dems have retaken the senate. So want that all to happen.

The Koch brothers are sitting out the general election, they will not spend a penny to help Trump. But they are going to get involved in some key Senate and House races. But look for them to be very careful how they spend their money and what ads they run as to not in any way have these ads inadvertently help Trump. They absolutely hate him and think he's an existential threat to the Democracy.

We have some huge positives for Murphy in this state and Rubio has been under attack.

1) Trump has fostered hate toward Rubio among Trumps base.

2) The last poll I saw has Murphy within 4. That is with Murphy really introducing himself to much of the state.

3) If Trump continues his current path I believe his turnout will be low, greatly benefiting Murphy.

4) Murphy is all in and spending money early. He is in GE mode and running positive commercials every day. Some PAC is regularly running negative Rubio ads.

5) Some other Republican I'm not familiar with is running ads as the pro-Trump and anti-Rubio candidate.

6) Murphy is breezing through his primary with little effort while taking very minimal damage.

This would be a huge grab.

Like Trump, that is all some people understand. Murphy has very little

There have been ads from Obama supporting Murphy in south FL, that should help.

Murphy needs to keep bringing up Rubio's attendance record.

If Hillary wins "bigly" hopefully it will carry down ballot.

He knows he is out and Murphy has been in GE mode. Grayson's campaign is irrelevant. It was clear early on he and his team were not competent in running for statewide office. His incompetence is going to give Murphy the united front he needs.

54. Not much polling in Indiana
Thu Aug 4, 2016, 10:24 AM
Aug 2016

I did some searching and there is apparently just one poll, done by Democratic consultants, shortly before Bayh announced. That's the one where he's up by 21. I can't remember whether Trump had named Pence by then... but while we did give Obama a 1-point win in 2008, Romney wound up with a double-digit victory in 2012, and the main reason we have one Democratic senator is that the Murdock couldn't keep his mouth about his belief that rape babies are gifts from God.

Bayh has fantastic name recognition, which will go a long way, but this is also likely to be a Trump stronghold, so it's going to take some serious ticket-splitting for that kind of poll result to hold up. Most of the projection web sites still rate Indiana a toss-up, with good reason.
