Questions raised about Melania's marriage history (Univision)

In an interview with Larry King Live in 2005 Melania Trump said that she had never been married before meeting Donald Trump.

But, Michael Wildes, an immigration attorney who worked for the Trump Organization, told Univision's investigative unit that she obtained a green card four years earlier in 2001, “based on marriage.”

This is just breaking. Batten down the hatches. Could be bulllshit. Could be yuuuuge.

Never forget this bastard was a leading birther.

1. Smells like a Texas National Guard Memo

The best way to deal with whether she worked on a tourist visa in 1995 is to float a bullshit story, debunk the bullshit one, and thus end the discussion.

You have a "source" who quit talking. Marriage records are pretty easy to search.

3. Her story really isn't important.

It may show a lack of veracity, but in the scheme of things it's just noise. What is important is that her BARKING MAD husband loses the election and that Hillary becomes president.

If it goes beyond the original story from yesterday about doing modeling work in 1995, then it could be something..

I encountered a guy on Facebook that said he likes Cheeto because he likes looking at his wife and then he made a disparaging remark about Michelle Obama.

6. I'm with you. I retweeted every article and

will do everything I can to keep this story alive until they explain Melania's immigration history and how she was able to obtain a green card which is extremely hard to get. I believe she was married before as the attorney stated and I believe it was a green card marriage.

...and you have as much evidence for that proposition as well.

This will be perceived as attacking his wife. She's not the issue.

This thing has "free birdseed" written all over it.

20. Are your investigators back from New York

The evidence that Melania married previously is exactly as impressive as the evidence Obama was born in Kenya.

There is no evidence supporting your claim. Zero.

44. President Obama provided documentation in the form of his Hawaii long form birth certificate

which required a state bill to allow release. Birtherism was grounded in racism.

This push is based on the candidates stated and repeatedly stated policy positions. It is an appropriate area of inquiry.

Trump has made illegal immigration his issue and berated and maligned whole groups of Americans and undocumented persons. Yes, we should explore this to nth degree because of his stated policies positions on immigration.

Trump should so what President Obama did provide documentation.

If this story is true it is devastating for him with his own base. We might win 40 states.

Proceed as if it's a trap and be careful. But "off limits" because of "decency" is crazy. If Michelle Obama had committed a felony in her 20s you think they'd leave it alone?

32. It will not make a difference to Trump voters

In fact I caught a piece of an interview with one yesterday. The reporter asked a man waiting for a Trump rally if it made a difference to him that Melania may have not followed immigration laws. He said it didn't because she is from Europe. The reporter asked if he meant because she was white and the man just looked at the reporter as if to say "What do you think?"

34. I saw that guy too

He added something like "I'm a fan of western civilization."

Trump leads Evangelicals. Do they care about his divorces? No. Do they care about Melania's prior career? No.

Racist xenophobes don't give a shit how Melania got here. She's white, she's married to him, and that's the end of it for them.

I do not understand the mindset that thinks there is someone who would be persuaded to vote for Hillary because of this kind of stuff.

Is the point to demonstrate that there is no difference between us and them, and that we can sink to their level with ease? Is that "winning"?

There is nothing that backs up this story. Nothing.

36. Adult family members committing fraud are NOT off limits. Trump may have enabled this too.

Also, immigration is a family issue. Family values too.

Further, Trump attacks family members all the time. Gold Star family members too.

Trump is using Ambassador Stevens name and family even though the family has publicly implored him to stop on multiple occasions.

Show us the immigration forms!

Show us the tax returns!

12. The main focus of the Trump campaign is immigration so it's very relevant.

Just as Trump's ties are not made in the U.S.A, Trump's wife may not have legitimately been allowed to stay in this country. I usually agree that spouses and children are off limits, but Trump doesn't hesitate for a second to bring up every Bill Clinton escapade and the only thing that is saving Chelsea is her friendship with Ivanka.

14. I tend to agree with you Vinca.

If immigration and calling immigrants criminals was still a speck of a thought in Trump's brain, I'd leave her alone. But if he's as hypocritical as to take his position that immigrants are thieves and rapists and drug pushers, then the immigrant in his family deserves looking at. He shouldn't criticize other people's spouses.

Maybe he didn't know her immigration history was so messed up. But he should not have held her up as an example of the proper way to immigrate.

Just so HE doesn't have to bother with protection. Another point of narcissism.

I wish at least one of the women he bedded made him do the same. I bet he's passed along chlamydia, along with no telling what else. I wouldn't be surprised by a kharmic diagnosis of Dementia Secondary to Tertiary Syphyllis some day. I wouldn't want that for him, but it wouldn't surprise me after the way he's treated women, like objects for him to fuck.

was she also previously divorced legally? Inquiring minds want to know.

This is an excellent example of why Trump should not have insulted Jorge Ramos, who has focused on the immigration issue for the past several years.
