Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump claimed Japan, an ally of the United States, can sit home and watch Sony television if the U.S. is ever attacked.
You know we have a treaty with Japan, where if Japan is attacked, we have to use the full force and might of the United States, Trump said during an appearance in Iowa on Friday. If were attacked, Japan doesnt have to do anything. They can sit home and watch Sony television, OK?
Trump told The New York Times in July that he would judge NATO members spending on security before helping them face down a potential invasion. The businessman had previously stated he wants Japan, Germany, Saudi Arabia, South Korea and NATO countries to pay up.
They owe us tremendously, were taking care of all those people and what I want them to do is pay up, he said in June.

I believe it was posted in Video & Multimedia earlier today.

(18,837 posts)He's got a lucky 13 weeks between now and November 8th. He can't possibly do what he's done in the past week 13 more times and come out of it with a double digit approval rating.
If his goal was to destroy the Republican party while stroking his ego, then mission accomplished.
Paul Ryan's been busy with the Koch boys, trying to undermine Trump, but what are they going to accomplish? I don't believe he can be bought off for any price at this point...not when he's so close to the big "kaboom."
