2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumTwelve Reasons NOT to Vote for Jill Stein & Ajamu Baraka
1) Jill Stein is a fraud. Check out her list of campaign contributors per the FEC. The top five donations are from corporate interests --
2) Check out Steins hand picked choice for VP, Ajamu Baraka. He's a radical agitator who has publicly referred to Bernie Sanders as a "white supremacist" and labelled Sanders supporters as naive shills.
3. Stein is an opportunist looking to cash in with disgruntled Sanders supporters. She is building a war chest for her 2018 run against Elizabeth Warren's in her home state of MA.
4. Stein has virtually NO political experience. She is an ex-musician and medical professional.
5. Check out her foreign policy positions -- she's more like Trump than Sanders.
6. Check out her domestic views -- she calls President Obama a "tool of the capitalists" and never challenges Donald Trump publicly.
7. She has some questionable beliefs about vaccinations and wi-fi that make her look as anti-science as those who deny evolution or global warming.
8. Jill Stein runs for office. It's what she does. She runs for something every two years
9. Stein is not qualified to serve, nor does she want to. If she won the election her first act would be to demand a recount.
10. Since 2011, Jill has refused to release her tax returns. Apparently she's making good money running for President and has some perks and investments that might not jibe with the act she puts on.
11. If you think Bernie knows what he is doing, why wouldn't you do what he is telling you -- heck, begging you -- to do now? (Vote for Hillary)
12. If Trump wins and gets to pick two or three Supreme Court judges it will set progressive causes back a couple of decades. How could any real progressive consider acting in a way that might help make that more likely? Theres no false narrative here,

(50,557 posts)Reason 1. Jill Stein cannot win the election.
Reason 2. If Stein splits the Democratic vote, Donald Trump WILL win the election.
Reason 3. If Donald Trump wins the election, within two years this country will be in one depression and four wars we can't get out of - unless he makes a "triumphant inspection tour" of a military base and the commanding general has him strapped to a pop-up target holder.

2) McMullen
3 & 4) Johnson / Stein (tie - with slight preference for Johnson & his having more real world experiences)
5) Clinton
We have a dualistic, either-or system. Don't like it? Work to change it.
Thanks to BERNIE and his impact on both the DNC and its process and on the platform and his assurances that he will hold her feet to the fire - Clinton candidacy has become downright palatable (insert smilie face here) !!!! And I respect that Ms. Clinton has been keeping active in govt roles the last 8 yrs - unlike some of these perennial candidates who come out of the woodwork every 4 years for fun and games, presumably on an expense account provided for by party donations.
