Every member of every political party that is not the Democratic Party is, at some level, my political enemy.

I know this because on some issues even some members of the Democratic Party can be my political enemy.

This is the primary reason that I am a Democrat.

And I warmly welcome all rational people who are supporting Hillary Clinton for President.

Many republican women are crossing over, many Green Party members are on board, some Republican men are even edging closer.

The goal is to get Hillary elected, and to continue our democratic policies and views. I welcome all who support that goal.

I didn't sign up for that. I was kinda hoping for spirited debate in whuch any voice was welcome, like, you know, a democracy.

But this is a website to get Democrats and progressive agendas elected.

If that is your goal as well, of course you are welcome.

Are you the founder of DU? If not, who are you to decide who's welcome here or not. I'd have to say the trolls I've dealt with are mostly Dems and I'm as progressive as they come.

Third, I don't decide who is welcome or not.

Fourth, who are these Democrats that you are accusing of trolling?

All of these people have trolled here at one point or another. Only fools think they can verify who someone is online. Its an annoying sacrifice. Many of these impostors pretend to be Democrats and try to pit us against each other. They gain by dividing us. And they always argue in their self-interests where money is involved. Old news. The war profiteers are the worst whether it's the drug war or the Iraq War these corporations are profiting off of.

We don't disparage Democrats here like you just did by calling them trolls.
We support and use all efforts to elect Democrats up and down the ticket as well as our current focus on electing Hillary as President.

Tue Aug 9, 2016, 03:01 AM

Hell, there's a difference between Europe's Greens, and American "Greens".

Green voters are not our enemies. Most are voting for Hillary Clinton,

No. Greens are voting for Jill Stein. Otherwise, they wouldn't be Greens.

They're attacking Hillary Clinton (rather than Trump), and basically are trying to throw the election to Trump to "punish" us for not picking their preferred candidate.

Been there done that already with Nader, who was out do do his best to campaign against Gore.

Not. This. Time.

We must not let the Green Party hijack environmental issues - they don't have the sole right to call themselves environmentalists, even if their party was originally started by people concerned about the environment. The Democratic Party is in fact the best option for people who worry about global climate change, pollution, and sustainable living. This is not only because the Democratic Party is the only party which has a chance of actually doing something about these issues, but also because Democrats actually care about these issues, and have good solutions to them. They may not be willing to bring the country back to subsistence living in one generation in the belief that that is the only way to stop "destroying the planet", but then, that isn't really necessary. Good solutions don't throw people into joblessness and bring the economy to a halt, because that will disproportionately affect marginalized groups, among whom the Green Party has fewer members. Good solutions feature innovation, and getting what you can through the obstructionist Congress as only people who know the system can.
