We should focus on Congressional battles in AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, MO, NV, NH, NC, OH, PA & WI
Each of these states has a Senate battle that will be a key in determining whether we control the Senate.
While we are in AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, MO, NV, NH, NC, OH, PA and WI winning back control over the Senate, there are also key House races in these same states: AZ1, AZ2, Winning back control over the Senate and as many seats in the House as possible will greatly expand the scope of our achievable legislative goals. If we can GOTV in AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, MO, NV, NH, NC, OH, PA and WI, there will be ZERO pathways for Trump to win, and Hillary will have the Congressional support she needs to break through the gridlock on our most important goals. Hillary has a commanding lead, and Trump is imploding. We must not lose sight of the fact that Hillary cannot achieve our most ambitious goals unless we take the Senate and move the House, too. PS - We also have important House battles in AK's at large seat and in CA21, CA25, CA49, KS3, ME2, MI6, MI8, MN2, MN3, NJ5, NY1, NY3, NY19, NY21, NY22, NY24, SC5, TX23, UT4 and VA5. I'm not suggesting that we de-emphasize these key races. I'm just suggesting that there are synergies we should be exploiting in the 14 states which are (1) important contests in the presidential race, (2) which also have critical Senate races, and (3) also have pivotal House races. If we GOTV in these 14 front-line battleground states, we win the election from the top of the ballot to the bottom.

1. Very true...they say if Hillary's lead holds we have a chance for the house too...
that would be beyond fantastic.

2. Here in Minnesota, we're working already on MN2 and MN3.
Our primary election is today, so we'll learn who we'll be facing in those districts. I hope people in every state work hard to flip congressional districts that are close. We can do this, with outstanding GOTV effforts.

5. CA has some important races as well
Notably the Ami Bera/Scott Jones race in Congressional district 7. Neither have favorables. Bera's dad and his troubles, and the sexual charges against the department while Jones was the Sac county sheriff. It's nip and tuck right now.

13. Bennet and Hillary are both up 10 percent in Colorado so we need to make sure that their momentum
helps Morgan Carroll beat incumbent Mike Coffman in CO6 (Aurora and suburbs on the outskirts of Denver), which has been a Republican safe seat for ages but is now winnable due to redistricting and demographic shifts.
This is a red-to-blue opportunity we cannot afford to miss. |

8. I'm donating to Carol Shea-Porter and Maggie Hassan - NH.
Perhaps will canvas for them, although that's probably covered when I canvas for Hillary, right? I live in Mass. I urge every Hillary supporter in a safe state to adopt a contested senate and house Democrat.
I don't know how to work for state legislatures outside my state. Just give to the DNC??? |

15. I'd really like to see Warren and Sanders double-teaming Ayotte and Guinta in Bedford, Merrimack,
and Manchester.
We can donate directly to the Carol Shea-Porter and Maggie Hassan campaigns! Congress would be made ridiculously better with the replacement of Ayotte and Guinta with Hassan and Shea-Porter! |

...wondering how out of state people can help candidates for state legislatures.

9. Recommended.
The Koch brothers are concentrating on Congressional races for a reason. All the GOP really needs is to keep control of the House, relatively easy due to gerrymandering, to control the legislative process.
If the GOP can hold the House, the 2018 non-Presidential election will have more Democrats that Republicans defending Senate seats. |

12. Florida and Gerrymandering
The GOP was forced by the courts to "un-gerrymander" the state. This election has several congressional districts which are no longer "safe" GOP seats (a few dem ones as well). Between that, and the fact that every single state legislator seat in both chambers was forced to be put back up for re-election provides a very good opportunity to at least turn the state a more favorable shade of purple. I hope we see an effort on the part of democrats to "remind" the voters that their districts might actually be competitive this time around and that their vote truly will "count".

14. I believe
This is already the strategy -
'Our' job 'we' - volunteer to take people to the polls, assist people with registration, make calls and canvass. I believe the campaign is in good hands. But they need our help. |

16. There are also purple districts in non swing states that are worth targeting.
Even if the whole state is certain to go Democrat or Republican there may be congressional districts that can be picked up.

18. Absolutely! Adopt an out of state senate and house candidate.
I live in Mass but have adopted Hassan and Shea-Porter for donations and maybe phone calls or whatever they might contact me about.
Can we help candidates for state legislatures if we don't live in their states? |

Just donated my Democratic house candidate, Matt Detch.
http://www.detch2016.com/ A long shot as we're an R+14 district, but it made me feel good anyway, that and a donation to Hillary. |
