People Walk Out On Donald Trump At Rally After He Threatened Hillary Clinton
Videos at link~
By Jason Easley on Tue, Aug 9th, 2016 at 7:33 pm
Donald Trump held a second rally after he encouraged his supporters to shoot Hillary Clinton, and something odd happened. While Trump was speaking, a steady stream of people got up and walked out.
Jenna Johnson of The Washington Post tweeted this video of people streaming out of Trumps rally, while he was still speaking:
It would be an odd coincidence if people just happened to walk on Trump for a completely unrelated reason at the rally after he suggested that his supporters could use the Second Amendment to stop her from nominating Supreme Court justices as president.
Here is a video of the same crowd chanting lock her up, but notice the empty seats:
The full backlash of Trumps remarks is not yet known, but it is clear that the Republican nominee has crossed a line at the same time as more Americans are paying attention to the election. If people walked out on Trump 26 minutes into his usually disjointed and unfocused one man monolog because they realized that this guy isnt fit to be president, it would be an encouraging moment for our country.
The fact that Donald Trump isnt captivating crowds like he used to is a big red flag for the Republican Party. America got a dose of the full Trump today, and it is enough to make anyone sick and head for the exits.

(18,881 posts)In a true Democratic Republic calling itself "The Greatest Country on Earth", it most definitely would.
I'm wondering if these are his supporters, or protestors. It will be interesting as I believe the author is right about not seeing the full extent of the fallout yet.

But that % of the population is going to find out in no uncertain terms where they stand in November.
Until now I thought those talking about winning the House were just our normal Pollyanna members, who I really love. Now I am not sure.

We all know what that means. He just suggested she be assassinated.

That's what people are saying, right?

(14,591 posts)... where he wondered if the fact that Trump has more social media followers and/or more live-streams than Hillary, what that means for the polls that currently show her surging ahead of him. I gather Hannity is hoping to gin up the notion that there's a yuge secret bloc of voters that will spring forth on election day and save Trump's ass, some kind of silent millenial majority, if you will. I don't know, cuz of course I didn't actually listen to Hannity's show... but my point is this: Trump's probably losing support specifically BECAUSE more and more people are paying attention to him through social media. More attention does not mean more support.
Of course, another point could be made that Hannity is a tool.

(533 posts)Just because a person follows trump on twitter doesn't mean they will vote for him. For instance I I have followed him since he got his ass handed to him in a flame with Lawerence O'Donnell several years ago; I haven't deleated him so I can follow politics.
Many have him on because of the apprentices, or his celebrity, or just to watch the garbage fire. Other are like me; they have him to watch the politics if the other side.
