WaPo: Trump lied 30 times in one deposition (under oath)

In 2007, Donald Trump was deposed by the lawyer of a reporter Trump sued.

The lawyers confronted the mogul with his past statements — and with his company’s internal documents, which often showed those statements had been incorrect or invented. The lawyers were relentless. Trump, the bigger-than-life mogul, was vulnerable — cornered, out-prepared and under oath.

Thirty times, they caught him.

Let's hope the Media adopts a narrative of Trump not being trustworthy and honest.

One of the stupidest things that moron did- and there are many to choose from- was to attack Bezos and Bloomberg and other tycoons, far wealthier than he is, with MSM holdings.

They have not been amused in quite some time.

7. It's complicated but perjury is handled differently in depositions.

And very rarely prosecuted. After all, it happens during the "discovery" phase of the process.

There is also probably a 5th amendment argument there since he was talking about and defending himself in a case against him. If he was forced to be truthful about his wealth in that case then he would have had no case, and would've been self-incriminating.

Now if he said that shit on the stand in front of a judge or jury? Yeah, he'd been in deep shit.

Yes in a civil case inconsistent statements are used for impeachment to argue the testimony is not credible. No one is looking to prosecute criminal cases.
