Trump is creating a shared grievance with his base by saying the election

Last edited Sun Aug 14, 2016, 01:52 AM - Edit history (4)

will be stolen if Hillary wins. Look for more use of the terms cheat and rigged. That is the tool of the psychopath he is using. They always make their cult followers share their grievances and meet the followers aspirations to get them to stay in the cult. Then they are locked in on the same path. More money for Trump to make off of them once he loses the election. His poor followers will be buying his crappy products for years. Caĺling for election observers will just vest the base more in tune with Trump's vision.

I don't think Trump is a psychopath. In my experience just knowing one will make you weep for years on end. Trump is dyslexic instead and a narcissistic liar on top of that. But he is getting advice or learning from some who are psychopathic. The GOP has been using the toolbag of the psychopath for decades. But there has also been a lot of gaslighting on the part of Trump supporters this election season, which is new.

Is it accurate to compare Trump to Jim Jones? I know it's hyperbolic, but is there any truth to it? NurseJackie Aug 2016 #5

like a dyslexic and has blown a hole in to the GOP myths particularly on trade and on race (he has allowed his base to be openly racist which makes them feel free. By blowing open racism he may have actually started the base on the road to a national discussion on race). He doesn't follow man made systems of norms because he can't remember details like a dyslexic. He gets fixated on his own creativity/discovery like redoing NATO like a dyslexic. He thinks in terms of form not language like a dyslexic.

On top of that he's a narcissist. He's a liar and a demagogue. But his children like him. And Putin has found him easy to flatter and use. He's going to be the puppet of whomever feeds him flattery or policy. Right now that could be the GOP. A few weeks ago it looked like Putin. Who knows who it will be next week.

Trump is a 3D ideas guy. He sees the intuitive and the counterintuitive. He avoids norms. He is creative. He should be a muse not a president.

They exhibit none of Trump's obvious wanton desire to benefit himself at the cost of destroying everyone and everything around him.

If Trump is dyslexic, then he's like a dyslexic Godzilla.

Make no mistake about it; the man is a psychopath.

A skilled manipulator who has no concern for the consequences of his rhetoric.

His rigged election claims feed a harmful CT that will live on beyond his doomed campaign.

the foundations. He's just shining a light on it all. If the GOP had built up empathy in their base and interconnectedness with fellow man, Trump would have gone in that direction: he basically is just cleaning up and freeing the base from the constraints and myths the GOP put on them to 1) shut up about crappy jobs because neoliberalism of the gop only results in a smaller middle class and 2) not say out loud their racist crap. Racism and anti-trade talk in his campaign is just the already existing web of unfulfilled desire Trump is accessing to haul in electoral victory. It is not a big enough web to win the general election though.
