The irony is undoubtedly lost on this treasonous buffoon, but if he had his way and brought America back to the time he thought it was great - trump himself would be tried for treason and put in jail because of his communist leanings and public request for Russia to steal state secrets.

2. The modern day Russian Federation isn't communist, though.

It's an oligarchic quasi-democracy lead by an autocrat with a desire towards imperialism and revanchism.

(Although the Soviet Union wasn't really communism as Marx envisioned, either. Basically it was an attempt to reboot the Russian Empire after the fall of the Czars using a populist propaganda as a smokescreen.)
