2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumAt the Trump Hannity lovefest, er, Townhall, Trump says he'd deport U.S. citizens
Donald Trump told Fox News Sean Hannity that he would force even U.S. citizens found to have extremist views to leave the country as president.
Hannity asked Trump what he would do about individuals like Seddique Mateen, the Afghanistan-born father of the man who killed dozens in an Orlando nightclub in June and has criticized the U.S.
What do we do when we find somebody that has extreme views? Hannity asked in a town hall that was taped Tuesday but aired Wednesday so that it wouldnt interfere with the live broadcast of Trumps speech in Milwaukee. Do we throw them the hell out?
I'd throw him out, Trump said of Mateen, who is a naturalized U.S. citizen. If you look at him, I'd throw him out.
Trump did not clarify where those identified as extreme would be sent, but said racial profiling was necessary to root out people who might pose a threat to national security.

(146,329 posts)has no understanding of the Constitution. If he has ever read it, which I doubt, he must not have understood it, which I can understand. He has the vocabulary of a 10-year-old kid who gets Cs and Ds on his report card.
I read the Constitution for the first time in the fourth grade. Although the language was a little archaic, my fourth grade teacher carefully explained every part of it. Since that time, I have faithfully read it again at least once a year. I remember it all, but I like to read it annually to burn it into my brain.
I expect everyone running for office to have at least as good an understanding of that document as I do. Time and again, Donald Trump has made statements that show his lack of understanding of the document that describes the powers government has and does not have. Our constitution is a document that is designed to limit the power of government over the governed. He fails to understand that, over and over again.
That, alone, disqualifies him for the job he is running to fill.
