George W. Bush & Donald Trump hugging in Louisiana photos are viral on Facebook

And to answer the question "Who gives a crap," I'm pointing this out for the sole fact that this message is playing extremely well to Trump's base.

Never mind the history that led up to Bush actually visiting post-Katrina New Orleans. That has now become revisionist history. The people posting this photo remember this:

And they don't give a moment's thought to these:

The message is that George W. Bush went to ground zero and hugged helpless victims of Katrina, and President Obama is not in Louisiana hugging anyone right now, Hillary Clinton is not in Louisiana hugging anyone right now, but Trump is:

Doesn't matter how insincere, bogus, or manufactured the message is...it's the message that's all over Facebook (and elsewhere) right now.

Just be aware of the message.

It boils down to one thing - they're stupid. They

1. Are completely unaware that the Governor asked them not to come (Obama & Trump), and
2. have no clue what is involved when visits like this happen - roads needing to be closed, security, etc...

And for those who think Reddit/r/politics is pro-Trump, it's actually about 90% Hillary supporters now. We have a lot of success slapping down the stupid posts by Trump supporters, but this particular issue is the one that gets everyone the most incensed.

Trump even unloaded one box himself, carried it towards the several people allowed close, then asked for a strong man to take the box. “Give me a good, strong guy,” said Trump, because, you know, women can’t lift heavy things (like children). Trump can’t even open his mouth without screwing up.

Here is the video of Trump buying votes with care packages:
