Just say it: ”We’re fucked.”

It won’t be late-breaking news, or even newsworthy at all. That’s because everyone knows you’re fucked, and you know you’re fucked, and you finally having the balls to admit you’re fucked while everyone on the planet has known that all along won’t be a blip on the media radar screen.

Trust me – there’s nothing to fear here. If every single Republican stood outside their front door tomorrow morning and yelled, ”We’re fucked!”, no one would be shocked, surprised, or taken-aback in any way. People would just be relieved that you finally admitted it, instead of pretending all this time that you weren’t totally, inescapably, and oh-so-deserved fucked.

When you’re down to party spokes-idiots claiming that we were never in Afghanistan before Obama led us there, it’s time to take a deep breath, call on whatever is left of your inner sanity, and say in unison ”We’re fucked.”

When your perennial favorite “mayor-of- NYC-on-9/11-big-ass-hero”, shows up to say there was never an attack on the US until Obama was in office, it’s time to pull yourself up by your bread-bags and just admit the bleedin’ obvious: ”We’re fucked.”

As your candidate-of-choice (and make no mistake, your party did choose him) hands out Play-Doh to flood victims in LA, instead of saying “he looks presidential”, “he was there to help”, “he’s showing leadership”, you could say what everyone knows you’re thinking: ”We’re fucked.”

Come on, people. You’re promoting a candidate that loses your party votes every time he opens his mouth, and hasn’t expressed a single coherent thought since he entered the race. Even the extremely stupid are appalled by his extreme stupidity.

So just say it and be done with it: ”We’re fucked!”

No one will fault you for your honesty and candor (as late in coming as it may be), and you’ll be free of the pretence you have had to maintain all these many months. Think of the freedom of being able to say, openly and unabashedly, ”We’re fucked!” instead of pretending you’re not. Think about escaping the chains that force you to make excuse after excuse for the words and actions of a complete idiot, when saying two short words – ”We’re fucked!” – could free you from any obligation to do so.

So stand up, wrap your arms around each others shoulders, and say it loud, GOP: ”We’re fucked!”

Because you are. And the beauty part is the fact that whether you admit it or not, the whole world knows not only that you're fucked, but that you fucked yourselves.

And meanwhile the entire rest of the country is held hostage to an agenda that the vast majority do not support.

But I'd have to say that that would make zero difference. In fact they did, in essence, say that very thing last election cycle. Rubio among others were pining about the dire need to open their tent wider and appeal to Hispanics and African Americans. In fact they went the opposite way. They have painted themselves into a corner and sure there is one way out.....smash open the wall and escape by actually apologizing for past behaviour and show a new way by backing that up with action...on climate change, immigration, healthcare etc. and basically start to work for compromise instead of roadblocks vs Democrats. But they are too arrogant, too stuck in their ways, too afraid of this horrid trashy base they have created.
