Julian Assange accuses Edward Snowden of sucking up to Hillary

Julian Assange has gone nuts and he has now turned against Edward Snowden, against whom he hurled the following accusation:

Julian Assange really, really doesn’t like Hillary Clinton. His bile for the Democratic presidential nominee is so uncontainable that it even spewed onto fellow antisecrecy icon Edward Snowden, whom the WikiLeaks founder has accused of sucking up to Clinton in hopes of gaining a future presidential pardon. At a time when many on the left are wrestling with whether to vote for Clinton despite her well-known shortcomings or risk that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named will somehow win the presidency in November, Assange evinces no doubts: Hillary must go down. Meanwhile, Assange himself is under fire from gays in Saudi Arabia, dissidents in Turkey, and nonconformists elsewhere who complain that WikiLeaks’ unredacted release of their names and personal information has exposed them to persecution from the very authorities that Assange claims to oppose.

The Nation has more details in this very good article: https://www.thenation.com/article/is-julian-assange-exposing-innocent-people-to-persecution-with-reckless-leaks/

4. Assange is underestimating the consequences of his conduct.

Assange seems to think that he can attempt to manipulate our electoral system for his own personal advantage without any consequences. The reality is that a very large portion of the American public will despise him as his activities become better known.

Assange has good reason to believe that a President Trump will protect him from prosecution for whatever crimes he may have already committed. Presumably. he is receiving such assurances from Putin who seems to have a controlling influence over Trump. So, everything seems to be working out perfectly. Putin steals American documents. His folks then doctor some of the documents in a manner designed to embarrass Clinton and the Democratic Party. Assange agrees to provide Putin putative cover by handling the document dump without revealing that they have been previously stolen and altered by Putin.

The problem is that the American public is becoming more aware of the efforts by Putin/Assange to manipulate our electoral system. Naturally, they will resent it and by November, the whole thing might actually backfire to Trump's disadvantage. The fact that Assange is wanted for a sex crime will also work against him. Americans are even less tolerant than Europeans when it comes to sex offenses.

I have to assume that there are forces at work preparing to protect our country from Assange and his Russian friends.

Face it, Julian, you are a crude and classless has-been.

Assange v. Snowden. In the cage. Death match. Winner gets huge vodka party in Stalingrad. Wakes up with huge potato hangover and Putin's personal photographer offering discount prices for some of the pictures. Salut!

Assange is just one example of the phenomenon. And nothing we on DU haven't seen before already.
