BREAKING: Four Star Army Generals DEFIANTLY Make First Presidential Endorsement Of Their Careers

http://bipartisanreport.com/2016/09/01/breaking-four-star-army-generals-defiantly-make-first-presidential-endorsement-of-their-careers/

Two retired four-star U.S. Army generals stepped up on Thursday morning and endorsed the Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton. Although both Gens. David Maddox and Bob Sennewald say they have never endorsed a political candidate before, they both felt compelled to speak out this election cycle.

The two issued a joint statement to the press, saying:

‘Having each served over 34 years and retired as an Army four-star general, we each have worked closely with America’s strongest allies, both in NATO and throughout Asia.

‘Our votes have always been private, and neither of us has ever previously lent his name or voice to a presidential candidate. Having studied what is at stake for this country and the alternatives we have now, we see only one viable leader, and will be voting this November for Secretary Hillary Clinton.’

The Klan Rally last night where T-rump scared a whole lot of people, not only Latinos/Latinas, but POC and many Whites. No matter how corporate media tries to spin it (softening bullshit), that lasting imagine of him yelling and acting like a lunatic has been engrain in many minds.

I would think every man and woman would come out fighting, and protect their family from the likes of trump...he was evil last night..Our military men and women have put on a uniform to fight this kind of evil - for many years...

I am not surprised that two of our finest 4 star generals are speaking out - they get it!

Hillary has more impressive endorsements? Sez who? Sez who? Sure, people of substance endorse her. But Trump has celebrities, famous people. Who knows better than them?

Scott Baio certainly trumps Meryl Streep, George Clooney, Lady Gaga, Amy Schumer, and Robert DeNiro combined.

and can endorse whomever they want, no "defiance" needed.

BUT, most of this statement is about them. Why? They're not on the ballot. Sure, endorsing Hillary is the honorable thing to do. Done.

But where's the rest? This is hardly all or most of what men of their stature could have done to help make sure The Donald never becomes our commander in chief. These men should suck in their guts, step up, and tell those who want to vote Trump what they think.

D'jever notice how many retired military officers are off opining on various stuff?

They aren't "defying" jack shit.

"Having each served over 34 years and retired as an Army four-star general..." - in other words, "having chosen a career path that allows me to retire at a relatively young age and still collect a decent pension..."

Now, look, I don't begrudge them that, and the deal is what the deal is, but the US military retirement system is OUTSTANDING.

"Having each served over 34 years...." meaning, "Collecting a generous check in my 50's..."

http://www.stripes.com/news/congress-we-went-too-far-on-star-rank-retirement-1.321816

In September 2006, a newly retired member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff who served 38 years drew initial retired pay of $114,000 a year. Today a JCS member retiring after 38 years draws more than double that amount, about $241,000. If that four-star officer completes a 40-year career, his or her retired pay today would be higher. Four officers today receive more than $256,000 in retired pay and one get more than $277,000, according to the Defense Department actuary.

Politics in the ranks of the military is on a whole different level. Many people leave their military careers in part because of that reason. To make it to the rank of four star one would need to be at least very skilled and capable as far as the ass kisser part comes in.
