When Obama officially wins FL, he'll be the first Dem in 68 years to win it in back-2-back elections

FDR was the last ... he carried the state in all four of his elections.

He's the first president to win a second term by a smaller percentage than the first term!!!

WTF was that all about? Was it supposed to make himself feel better?

FDR was the last Democratic incumbent to take Colorado (1936). We were really red. The growth in Latino voters since 1996 when CO voted for Bob Dole over Clinton gets the credit.

Because Colorado continues to shift Left with the growth of Latinos it will likely become a solid blue state soon and when that happens Democrats wont ever need OH, VA, and FL ever because they would have a complete and stable set of blue states in their column for 272 EV.

Colorado alone is the single reason why Republicans will have no choice but to reach out to Latinos in their NEW republican message starting now.

If you tally up the solid blue states and add a few that lean blue (leaving out true swing states like OH and FL), Democrats have an EV base of around 250, which means in coming elections they have many more paths to victory. If we win the solid blue states we only have to win maybe one of the true swing states and one of the others that are "pale blue" (like Iowa, which leans blue but is not toally out of play).

Keep in mind all the dirty tricks needed to win by a few hundred, and a few thousand(respectively)votes in 2000 and 2004. I think we could see in a few more election cycles that Florida will become a purple if not a true blue state. Same for Virginia, Colorado, Nevada. Arizona, Texas and Georgia on their way to becoming blue(20 years tops...4 if you ask Jeb Bush.) The Republicans are in a very bad way right now. I plan to volunteer in 2014...wherever I am needed. Haven't decided yet but will either head to a swing in 2016.....or a red like Texas depending on the trajectory. I have a luxury in having a business I can make money at wherever I go....at least that is what I'll hope for....
