Last house I lived in the next door neighbor was one. Great guy and neighbor. A old friend of mine from Jr. High husband had died of cancer and she has cancer plus in a wheel chair. When we moved away he started mowing her lawn and doing some chores she needs doing.

5. It's not even close

An Illegal Alien, although I hate the term. I had lying Republicans on both sides of me. Now it is only one side. Typical dicks gaming the system and blaming others. They seem to be unhappy people and want everyone to be as miserable as them. The way they vote is giving them just what they want: deterioration of the social contract and someone to blame for their troubles. Nothing but negative energy.

Is the point that anybody should be able to freely pass across our border because unlike other countries we shouldn’t have a border? I come from immigrants, and still see difference between people who come here legally vs illegally.

I know that is not the DU proper stance, but it is mine.

I would rather live by an honest immigrant or an honest republican, tired of dishonest people.

And they were part of the reason the nativist stupidity of making it a crime to cross an imaginary line in the dirt became the law.

The fearful ignorant nativists have always been afraid of strange people speaking weird languages, wearing funny costumes, with goofy customs & religions. And those nativists have used that fear to commit endless atrocities.

150-200 yrs ago, they were against Irish Catholics. 100 yrs ago they were against the Italians. 50 yrs ago they were against people from South & Central America, and the Caribbean. Today they're against people from Mexico and Muslim countries.

The only commonality it that they're against the existence of people.
