When Hillary invokes her experience as NY Senator on 9/11 and as SecState in the hunt for Bin Laden
It's very powerful. I don't know why, but for some reason when she talks about that time period, about executing the war against Al-Qaeda, it really is riveting.

1. She spent a great deal of time wading through hell on Earth.
The impact of that pain was apparent.
While the Republicans were busy waving flags, putting magnetic stickers on their cars and hanging cheesy black-velvet paintings of firefighters, Hillary was the one who actually fought hard for the healthcare they needed after 9/11 - because while the Republicans loved to use first responders as props, they didn't want to actually, you know, take care of them or anything. |

3. September 11th, 2001
made a big impact on us all.
I was just thinking about it a few minutes ago, how the NFL season opens this Sunday, the 11th, and the 15 year anniversary. September 11th, 2001 was a beautiful Tuesday morning. The Sunday NFL games for the following Sunday were all postponed. Vinny Testaverde and other NY Jets players were quite vocal about postponing them. Even when the games resumed the following week, it still didn't seem right. It was such a painful, numbing day. |
