(15,429 posts)Hillary literally doesn't sweat. It's a fact that has been known for decades.

(24,852 posts)Making a big deal out of this is proof that we expect our leads to be superhuman.
My wife has had fainting spells since she was in her 40s. They happen maybe every 4-5 years, and once, not multiple occurances. In almost every case she was overheated or dehydrated. An hour or so after the incident, she's back to normal. Amazing what hydrating oneself can do.

(15,429 posts)Couldn't take the heat in the thread where you spread bullshit about humidity so you had to start another thread spreading the rightwing bullshit?
Joe the Revelator
(14,915 posts)It has nothing to do with the rightwing or the left wing. Our candidate was out on her feet. That in concerning. The myth that it was 'extremely' humid doesn't help explain that.

(15,429 posts)You are spreading a rightwing meme.
You leave out the well known fact that Hillary DOES NOT SWEAT.
So, stop spreading the rightwing bullshit.

(14,915 posts)Attacking the source only works if the content is biased. Are you claiming a conspiracy with the video??
MohRokTah
(15,429 posts)You used a rightwing source which is a direct violation of TOS.
Please stop spreading rightwing bullshit on DU.

(3,767 posts)I made. She was probably wearing body armor in a open uncontrolled area like that. The secret service would want her to wear some pretty strong stuff. Sometimes you can see outlines on both candidates. But to keep down bulge and help movement they probably go with more layers of material like kevlar. That stuff is incredibly hot to wear. (Speaking as someone who has worn kevlar.) Even if it was only low 70's the stuff I wore was really hot. And wearing it for a hour and a half walking around would wipe out a lot of people. I have seen people completely drop to the ground wearing kevlar when it wasn't very hot.

(24,852 posts)The fact is that fainting is a NORMAL human activity that can be caused by something as simple as standing in place for too long. It doesn't signal a major illness or medical condition. It is a normal defense mechanism our bodies have acquired through evolution.
That doesn't mean that assholes won't try to make more of it than it was.

(4,602 posts)I guarantee you have I at least 6 more years of medical education then you, and I'm not diagnosing anything. What makes you think you can?
Joe the Revelator
(14,915 posts)Also, what is your medical degree in?
Look at her feet. As a human with life experience, are you telling me she looks normal as she floats into the car?

(55,894 posts)You've been corrected numerous times on that thread with DU'ers telling you the humidity was over 75% and yet you STILL haven't deleted it.
The fact you are now posting this indicates to me that you are intent on pushing the rightwing meme that Clinton is unhealthy.
Joe the Revelator
(14,915 posts)Earlier in the day it may have been higher, however the temps were also lower. People don't pass out with weather in the 70's and RH in the 60's.

That is concerning. And it should be to everyone.
But there are heat explanations that make sense to me. I'm 65 and extremely heat/humidity susceptible ever since I almost gave myself heat
exhaustion out working in the garden almost 20 years. My heat regulation ever since has been screwed up. I can get almost faint--but as soon
as I feel it I get inside and out of the heat. A candidate for POTUS doesn't necessarily have that option.
It is interesting to note that all the personnel started moving toward her as she started to go down. It's nice to see that staff and Secret Service are on the ball.

It is a normal reaction to such conditions, not a big deal at all. After she cooled down, she left Chelsea's apartment all energized and perky--with no assistance and no hovering helpers.
