But others I think are only voting for Hillary because they think she will win, and may well end up voting for her if they think it is really close.

Many falsely believe that Bernie got cheated out of the primary. They think they can punish the Democratic Party by voting third party.

Sorry folks, i liked Bernie too but he LOST! Now let's come together and beat the Cheeto. By voting third party you are only hurting yourself.

If you're in Texas or California, which are a solid red or blue, feel free to vote your conscience, to use your vote as a protest.

If you're in Michigan or Ohio, somewhere that could swing to either candidate, then think about consequences.

Of course, if voting third party makes you appear hipper, if it helps you get laid or something important like that, then of course vote third party. Or, vote Dem and claim you voted 3rd party. Nobody will know.

(All assumptions about TX, CA, MI, OH are just examples, I claim no special knowledge about the likely outcomes of any locale)

If you really give a fuck about an issue - fight for it. Work on promoting your issue. That's a protest. Voting against everyone viable- that's just lazy patting yourself on the back for doing nothing.
