“Well, you know, the republic is under siege by a moron, basically. The whole thing is tragic,” Springsteen said.

It's easy, and non-controversial, to speak out against Trump and call him names. Evereybody's doin' it.

It takes real courage to stand up in front of a massive audience at a solemn, bipartisan occasion that includes the former Republican president, the (Republican) Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and the (Republican) Speaker of the House, and after belting out the last line of "A Change is Gonna Come," smile and yell out "Hillary Clinton!" And then walk off.

A moment of beauty, and not something many would risk their careers on.

he is spectacularly good at one thing and incomprehensively bad at most things.

He does not care -- maybe INCAPABLE of caring or understanding -- about policy, facts, complexity, history, fairness, morality, justice, progress, gray issues, precedent, laws, empathy, constitution. Shows no interest or understanding of any of these. However, the guy is brilliant at self-promotion and domination. Don't know anything else he's good at. Counting tweet letters, maybe.

A sociopathic, extremely warped, abnormal, shallow mind focused on self-preservation to an almost superhuman extent?
