Green Party's Jill Stein Seeks to Woo Young Voters From Clinton

Green Party's Jill Stein Seeks to Woo Young Voters From Clinton
by ALEX SEITZ-WALD SEP 24 2016, 5:18 AM ET

ORONO, Maine -- As Hillary Clinton and her allies scramble to keep young liberal voters inside the Democratic Party, Green Party nominee Jill Stein is doing her best to coax them out.

Stein, who won just one-third-of-one-percent of the vote when she ran in 2012, has set an internal goal of reaching 5 percent this time. It's a far shot from winning, but that kind of showing -- along with a more robust effort by another independent candidate, libertarian Gary Johnson -- could pose a huge headache for Clinton.

Stein's efforts will require lots of new converts, and the strategy to get them is simple: Target the remnants of the Bernie Sanders movement by convincing young Clinton skeptics that the Democratic Party is too compromised to be reformed from within -- no matter that Sanders now is saying the opposite.

Who benefits from her siphoning votes from Hillary? And this raw story article where she said Hillary is more dangerous than Cheeto was a big red flag to me.

Many people have had lunch with Putin, in various governmental or humanitarian functions. We've all seen the pics of Obama or Hillary with Putin. Saying a pic proves the guilt by association would seem to justify the ridiculousness of those pictures of Democrats with Bush, Putin, etc... too. I'm not sure I agree with that, and think it's best to stick to facts.

She claims to be progressive but is taking money from RNC donors and from Russia no doubt in order to elect the most regressive candidate in my lifetime...she is an evil woman who may very well undo 80 years of progressive accomplishments. Already the Greens have given us United, multiple really bad abortion rulings, patriot act, 9-11 two wars economic collapse etc...So as other posters have said...fuck her. She is a lying, scheming hypocrite...Jill Stein wants Trump to win. She has publicly stated this.

"Green party Jill Stein, who has expressed skepticism about the safety of vaccinations and wifi, has found another thing in the world that she finds dangerous: America

And Stein decided to go to Moscow last winter to share her concerns.

And, what do you know, she’s happy to report she found an audience that agrees with her!"

Stein continued, "Tomorrow I will meet with the foreign affairs chair of the Duma, the lower house of the Russian Parliament, to explore whether Russia would be receptive to a more collaborative approach to foreign policy that I have been talking about in my presidential campaign. Citizens of our countries and the world deserve a new commitment to collaborative dialogue between our governments to avert disastrous wars for geopolitical domination, destruction of the climate, and cascading injustices that promote violence and terrorism. Opening such a dialogue would be a first step towards real progress on the interlocking threats that both nations - and the world - are facing."

Democrats...as in helping to elect Bush. Of course, I blame the voters who are so selfish that they vote for these third parties and help elect Republicans who then hurt all Americans.

that a Trump presidency would do to America for decades to come, and why should she, no matter what happens she will have shelter, healthcare, and food on the table, and screw everyone else

From her tax return in 2015, the income is stated as 302258

Other income includes the following:

Besides the salary there is $140 in taxable interest income, $21,730 in tax-exempt interest income, $35,505 in dividends. $2,000 in business income and $9,185 in capital gains. That much interest and dividend income would make me very surprised if they didn’t have at least $2 million in investable assets. Could be quite a bit more. It is possible that some or all of that is a flow-through from a trust.

She didn't include Schedule A, and the inference is that not much was given to charitable organizations, at least according to this article:

http://www.forbes.com/sites/peterjreilly/2016/08/11/jill-stein-releases-2015-federal-tax-return/#308dd5f64d3a

Yeah, she will do just fine other a trump presidency, while the rest of us have to figure out how to survive

What a selfish, self centered ass, similar to her predecessor Ralph Nader, who also is not in need.

They can spew any nonsense they want, and damn the consequences, because they sure won't suffer.

acting as though all the applause and balloons were for her.

Where were her delegates and her hard earned applause? She was like the loser at the prom, begging for someone to pick her.

I get that she has different ideas and possibly might want to be the star, but in that case, have your own celebration. Don't appear at the prom, paid for by someone else, and beg for the votes of any of the leftovers.

Pitiful.
