How many Trump voters actually want him to be president?

I just have this weird feeling a lot of his supporters just think they are giving a finger to the system by supporting him, or saying they support him, but haven't really thought about him actually being president.

Will any of these people change their minds at the last minute? Or just not bother to vote?

Of course you can say, they voted to nominate him for the GOP ticket, so they were indeed serious. But shit is real at this point, and we're talking life and death, maximum stakes.

Also, for undecided voters who wait until the last minute to decide (the people that drive us crazy), how many of them will really decide to put this ridiculous, erratic guy in charge of our whole country and particularly in charge of the military and national security?

Am I being overly confident in American's decision making skills?

1. I actually think there is a very high probability, he depresses turnout at least

by a little. And thats all you need really. I do not perceive an enthusiasm advantage for Trump, and never have through this whole process. Seems unlikely he can change it at this point. Democrats on the other hand will be motivated. All the stars of the party will see to it.

My guess is that a lot more Republicans will stay home rather than vote for trump, versus democrats who stay home and not vote for Hillary.

5. I have always felt that way too. I know of Republicans who don't want to vote

for the Democrat but they are embarrassed about Trump. I think they may just be "to busy to vote" in November. Or maybe just misplace their mail-in ballot.

may be going along just to placate their husbands, and will secretly be voting for someone else.

Trump is the kind nasty bully that most women take an instant dislike to, in my experience.

I'm talking about some of them living in felony disenfranchisement states. Someone needs to do some research.

I'm very curious who introduced that idea, suspect it was stealthily introduced to convince people a bit afraid of Trump to vote for him anyway.

8. Well, it's not just a meme, it's our freaking constitution

However, Trump does not understand the constitution, and if he's elected god help us, I don't think he'll follow it.

In favor of the political leaning of the next president.
It's nice you'd like to splain the three branches to me, not so nice you failed to realize I'm talking about current events. The GOP shares Trumps distain for taxes on the wealthy, in regulation of trade and businesses, of the rights of women. They would likely have the senate too if he won- they would have a blank check to remake society.
So yeah- your point stands only in theory.

My post still stands. I am not familiar with that meme but I know our constitution says the same thing.

They don't think about what a tRump Presidency would mean, they just think that Hillary won't be President if they vote for tRump. Low information voters.

15. GOP politicians are afraid of him

He's mean and vindictive. I think some will pretend to support him but will act otherwise in the privacy of the voting booth. They are afraid that he could win. Someone like Cruz will say he backs Trump while keeping his eye on 2020. I bet lots of the leadership will pull the rug out from under the buffoon.
