How to turn some Trump voters!!

Some Trump voters aren’t necessarily stupid or racists but are genuinely hurting and looking for help. The tragedy is that they are turning to the party least likely to help them.

Look at the epidemic rates of obesity, of heart disease, of adult-onset diabetes and opioid addiction and suicide, which has reached truly alarming levels among middle-aged, lower-income white men and is a far more common cause of firearms death than murder.

Some people are genuinely hurting and tragically believe that Republicans will help them and care about them. Show them that Republicans don’t care about them, only care about the rich, and that a rich egotist doesn’t care about them but only cares about getting their votes. Remind them Trump is a Republican and that Republicans typically care about the rich while Democrats typically care about the average citizen. Point to Obamacare, an effort to provide medical care to the uninsured or underinsured and mention how the Republicans voted umpteen times to repeal it. Say the Democrats would have done more for the average person if they weren’t perpetually opposed by Republicans in the Senate and House. Tell them if they really want to be helped, they need to give Hillary a Democrat Senate and House who will work with her for them, and not elect some braggart who in his 70 years of life has shown absolute zero interest in the problems and concerns of the average person. (Maybe add mention of the working people he has stiffed, too?)

2. You're right that a lot of the sane people who support The Con are desperate.

Many, many, are unemployed, or underemployed men who used to work in the steel industry, the auto industry, and other manufacturing jobs that have been outsourced to China, Mexico, and in some cases, just low wage countries. The Con promises to bring those companies back to the US, and out of sheer desperation, they believe him.

He won't because he can't, but just saying that won't convince these supporters. I've tried everything I can to explain why he can't do that, but my arguments fail. I even said, if he's so supportive of bringing those jobs back, why hasn't HE brought the jobs of making his ties, shirts, and furniture to the US?

I have a lot of sympathy for the people in those circumstances and The Con is just pumping them up for a huge fall.
