Related: About this forumOK, just what does a defective mike have to do with what came out of the Cons mouth?
Seems he's really pushing this "I was intentionally given a defective mike" meme. Of course that's BS, but even if it were true, what does it have to do with his actions, responses, and frequent sniffs during the debate? I just don't get it.

(45,806 posts)his handlers, and pretty dumb, but the words actually make a complete sentence, which is better than Cons. I just couldn't imagine how there could have been any connection at all.

(22,037 posts)It seems pretty obvious that Donald Trump caught a cold or some other bug. It's bound to happen when you're exposed to thousands of people and different places in such short periods of time. Besides, we all get sick from time to time.
Here's the thing: Mr. Trump cannot admit that he's sick. In his mind, it would be an admission of weakness. And given his campaign's attacks on Hillary Clinton's bout of walking pneumonia, he fears a counterattack. Of course, Secretary Clinton would never question his health. Rather, she'd wish him well and say that she looks forward to his return. That lady's got class.
This is why Donald Trump is an idiot. If he simply said that he caught a cold, there's no story. The sniffles are explained away. Instead, he complains about the debate questions and invents a story about the microphone thus opening himself to all of the speculation that followed. Now, the story goes on for a couple of days. As with his battle with the Gold Star Kahn family, he foolishly extends a negative story for several additional news cycles. Politically and many other ways, the man is an idiot.
Finally, I like Howard Dean a lot but Mr. Trump doesn't do cocaine, although it's a great side story! He probably took a decongestant which is why he was so thirsty.
