And I am absolutely terrible with names.
Not ready for prime time!

(34,455 posts)Even the most basic matters viewed as better, by substantial #s of Americans, than a far more qualified woman. I wish I could say it is unbelievable.

(47,458 posts)very spacey and laid back. He isn't really putting much thought or effort into his campaign. Maybe he didn't really quit smoking weed.

(5,648 posts)....(though I have several) is that when a question stumps him he admits it instead of trying to
BS his way out of the situation.

(63,912 posts)Jinping, Putin and Castro. Well, 4 if you count Queen Elizabeth. And I should since she is head of lots of countries that were in the British Empire.

(27,995 posts)He didn't even think of one of the most popular world leaders.
PatSeg
(47,458 posts)to name one foreign leader that he admired the most. Hopefully it wouldn't have been Putin, though Trump might have said that. I thought of Justin Trudeau or Angela Merkel.
CajunBlazer
(5,648 posts)He was asked what world leaders would he like to work with - Jinping, Putin and Castro probably wouldn't be good answers.

(63,912 posts)certainly the British PM, all of the NATO countries. Then there are the Asian countries so Abe of Japan would be one.
CajunBlazer
(5,648 posts)actually, whatshisname, Johnson's VP running mate, mentioned Merkel after it was clear Johnson was going to come up with any names.

(2,100 posts)But I've just surprised myself by not knowing who exactly is Britain's PM now days. Is it still Cameron? I don't think so. Feeling kinda stupid just now.

(42 posts)Johnson is a place holder and a spoiler.
He does not need to know any stuff.
CajunBlazer
(5,648 posts)which is saying absolutely nothing.

(22,651 posts)Stood up, resigned, back Clinton and use his 'war chest' (republican) donation money for the good of all Americans.

(5,648 posts)Maybe more would go to Trump than Hillary. Now if you want to be sure Hillary will be helped by the exit of a 3rd party candidate, persuade Stein to quit, but that ain't going to happen.

Asked to name his favorite foreign leader, Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson seemed stumped at first, then finally responded, "Obi-Wan Kenobi."

(56,828 posts)there is no friggin' excuse for him NOT to know the current president of Mexico and at least the two or three previous presidents as well. They're right next door! If you don't like them, you say, "Well, I wouldn't put President Nieto of Mexico on that list..."
I mean, I live in Connecticut and know Nieto is the current president there, and Vincente Fox is a former president who said that Mexico isn't paying for a fucking wall.
