2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWhat about the House and Senate?
Some of the polls are not looking good right now, Nevada and New Hampshire, as well as Florida.
What can be done? Will Hillary's poll rise pull Cortez/Hassan/Murphy up?
What do you think?

(32,016 posts)The Senate will be very close. Could be a +1 for either party.

(6,252 posts)That would mean a 50-50 Senate without counting NH. Kaine would by tiebreaker.

(25,251 posts)by the Repugs. The American People need to be told and told again that it is the Repug Party that has caused all the problems that we have in this country and that this November election is more than just stopping Trump.
This means the Dems - federal, state and local - need to speak up. There are also governorships that we need to take back as well when they come up for a vote.
The Hillary campaign needs to hit more at the Repugs as well. I'm hoping that Kaine in the VP Debate takes up these issues. If Hillary herself doesn't want to take on the Repugs - she needs to get her surrogates out there to do it for her.
Instead of Howard Dean talking about Cocaine - he needs to get out and talk about taking back the Senate and House.
If Hillary doesn't want to face gridlock like Obama - we need to get back control of more than just the White House.

(220 posts)Hi,
Winning the House will be difficult, but might be possible after years of Republican gridlock. Enough people might be ready for a change even with the Gerrymandering of the criminal Republicans.
The Senate is more likely to move to Democratic control, but moving one or the other is vital or nothing changes & all we have is more Republican gridlock.
The first order of business for a Republican house would be to Impeach President Hillary, & continue to ruin the country.
Move forward, vote for a Democratic House.
