OMFG. Some folks are complete idiots.

So here I am just reading the internet and I come across this article about how Hillary cheated on the debate by using a modified podium... apparently she had a built in TelePrompTer in her podium and that's the only reason she won.

This is just insane.

These people are just mentally unstable.

I can't even imagine what life is like when you live like that. The more this election drones on the more I have come to realize this really does just boil down to sexism.

And the bad news? It isn't going to stop.

As a man, I don't think I really ever realize how sexist society is. I'm slowly learning and it's horrifying to see it.

ETA: And NO I'm not going to link to it, you want to see it try google, and don't miss the Pepe logo right on the bottom right.

Seems like Trump would have noticed if she had a screen or iPad on her podium. And before it all began, there were sound checks, etc to make sure everything was good to go at the start time. Seems like someone would have noticed the difference......but these jackasses are grasping at straws to explain why their guy did so poorly. So they latch onto absurdities without one shred of evidence to back up their assertions.

Here's a couple of claims I've read on the rightwing websites:

1. Hillary was passing signals to Lester Holt by winking and rubbing her nose. Holt then attacked Trump . . . at Hillary's command.

2. Hillary had an earpiece through which she was fed answers.

Yes, you are right . . . these people live on another planet.

Thu Sep 29, 2016, 04:35 PM

and the last few years have definitely been a surge. We've seen the rise of the manosphere, red pill ideology, the gamergate and sad/rabid puppies fiascos in "geek culture", the bro-ification of Silicon Valley tech culture which has reduced the number of women in computer industry careers, and so on. Lately the cycles seem to be roughly generational in scale... 1955 bad, 1970 good, 1985 bad, 2000 good, 2015 bad.

You could say that Hillary is trying to break the glass ceiling at the worst possible time, because not only is sexism up, but it's bolstered by a peak flareup of racism, reacting to Obama and BLM and then emboldened by Trump. A bit of a perfect storm. But acting against that is the longer term trend in which tolerance and diversity come out stronger after every challenge, and are undoubtedly on the winning side of history.

We suffer as a nation with this two year blood bath of stupidity and anger. Why do we have to suffer for such a long period of time? They could decide the nominees in three weeks, and another three weeks for the nominees to show their wares. Enough of this dividing the country into deplorables and Clinton supporters. Sweet Jesus. I thought fox and the reich wing was bad. This is just insane.

Now you are saying it was cause Hills had a James Bond ultra cool podium? Not buying it. Did said podium make popcorn? No? Then no way she even touch an ultra cool modified podium that doesn't make popcorn or hot chocolate. Its the dragons Hills released before the debate that burnt his mic that caused the coke induced meltdown on national tv in front of millions. No ultra cool podiums. Q branch includes popcorn makers as a standard for all ultra cool podiums. And no one smelled popcorn at the debate, just booze from the students playing the trump drinking game in the back rooms. Dragons burnt his mic, the dragons that Hillary released, that's the only conspiracy theory that fits.
