Obama may have had a bad first debate and that allowed Romney to close the gap, but Obama was still ahead after the first debate as he was before the debate, just by a closer margin.
In only two cases 1980 and 2000 was the person ahead in the polls before the first debate not elected President. The person ahead in the polls after the first debate has always won the election.
Sorry for the confusion.

Actually, Romney might have been ahead in some polls.
I do think Hillary will win, however.
