Damn it's scary and filled with crazy propaganda. I randomly turned to a known conservative talk radio station in San Diego and Sean Hannity was on... And I'm beginning to think republicans are like those who believed Orson Welles was telling the truth. The straight propaganda was really hard to listen to. I mean do these people even question it? The guy lumpy was interviewing was saying that if the election was fought on the "big" issues Trump would win because for example trump would lower taxes and Clinton would raise them while not even saying on the wealthiest individuals? I mean it's pretty sick how these people prey on the most weak minded and blatantly lie. Are republicans the party of the stupid? I'm pretty sure they only stay in power because of this effective propaganda.

(52,243 posts)it was all fun and games for them when the leaders knew it was all propaganda for the rank-and-file, while they all kicked back and enjoyed their kickbacks from the ultra-rich at the expense of the suckers they were deceiving.
but it's gone on for so long that now their leaders are caught in the bubble. rmoney couldn't fathom that he was going to lose because he believed foxnews' inflated polls and biased analyses. trump and many other republican politicians can't fathom that what plays brilliantly to the people inside the bubble might play horribly to the rest of us.
they're so caught up in it that they're baffled as to why it isn't playing out obviously the other way around. they've heard nothing about hillary other than that she's the most horriblest scoundrel ever. murderer, traitor, you name it, they're convinced not only that she's guilty, but that it's common knowledge and widely accepted fact that she's so worst monster ever.
if they ever stopped to have the tiniest moment of self-doubt i might feel sorry for them, but it's hard through all that bile.
