LOVELAND, Colo. -- A Colorado woman says she was disappointed to be escorted away from Donald Trump's rally in Loveland Monday by U.S. Secret Service.Jennifer Mau and her 7-year-old daughter, who has disabilities, say they attended the rally as an undecided family, wanting to know more about the Republican candidate for president.
Her daughter was born without a jaw bone or ears and receives her nutrients from a feeding tube.
Amid the rally, however, Mau decided to leave with her daughter. Mau said that drew the ire of those surrounding her.

Apparently a few other people left with her.

(113,285 posts)and, if what you are thinking is correct, why would she subject her daughter to that asshole and his supporters?

(1,771 posts)I'm not looking for a pissing match here. I think she went there to make a point and then realized how fucked up this "rally" was and left. Again, just my opinion. If you want to throw shit at her that's cool. This is aMeriCa, You can say whatever you want.

(62,444 posts)She says she went as an "undecided voter".
But then she says that when she got up to leave, she started asking other people "why are you here?" because he has mocked a person with a disability.
But that's something that's been known a long time. It's not what he was doing at the time she decided to leave. She obviously knew that on the way in.
People are entitled to raise their children as they see fit (within limits). I would have tended away from using a 7 year old, with no choice in the matter, to make a point to people at a Trump rally.
If she wanted to say "I took my disabled child to a Trump rally to make a point" that's certainly her prerogative. But saying that she was undecided and that, suddenly during that rally, she decided to take offense to something he did months ago, strikes me as disingenuous.
YMMV

(34,661 posts)two to three years, anyone who uses the excuse, undecided at this point, give us a break. Caught one of the co called Focus Groups last week,if you don't know who you favor, well your fifteen seconds of fame just bit you in the ass.
Amazing as to the ignorance of many of our Citizens, can't blame it on the Schools, must be the Infotainment Industry,or did I miss something.

(61,695 posts)is the one the Secret Service should have tossed out. There is no for excuse chasing down someone who is leaving and screaming at them over a stupid politician.

(19,060 posts)Know that in Trump's world, the disabled like your daughter do not have a place. Donald judges women solely on their looks and anyone who doesn't make the grade he trashes. He'll probably have an island designated for your daughter to go live, or worse.

(11,686 posts)As in why did the Trump rally have an area JUST for disabled people? That should have screamed red flag right off the bat. Keep them separated from everyone else. I understand areas to make it easier for those in wheelchairs but to keep them all in one area?

(6,974 posts)But how on EARTH can she be undecided when there's been so much racism, bigotry, sexism and pure hatred coming out of tRamp's mouth. I mean, didn't this woman even KNOW that tRamp made fun of a reporter who was disabled and the other day he mocked Hillary for being sick with walking Pneumonia.
Let me stop now before I say something that sounds uncaring. Bless the baby, she's innocent.

(2,957 posts)...I object strenuously to the Secret Service removing anyone from a political rally unless that someone is a direct threat to the subject being protected (i.e., Trump or Hillary). The Secret Service is supposed to be a neutral party almost to the point of being aloof, and is supposed to provide protection of their subject - and little more. Acting as bouncers for people who are merely in the same stadium as Trump is inappropriate.
