(16,515 posts)have been saying that Trump signs have been taken down in their neighborhoods.
I am happy to report 2 more homes have taken them down. 1 of which had several. Another thing I noticed is the absolute absence of Trump signs all together. I live in red country. Trump signs and bumper stickers should be everywhere by now. Nothing. Don't get me wrong only 1 Clinton sign. that is the norm though.
My state will still vote trump, even if people are embarrassed to admit it

(67,782 posts)...Trump signs are being removed by embarrassed Trump Supporters.
I've noticed that several Trump signs in our area have been taken down. Surprisingly one house has a pink "Women for Trump 2016" sign, and it's still there.

(134,030 posts)matronize that business!!) and any number of clinton/kaine signs in this oh-so-red county. (Ignoring the two enormous asshole signs just below the wyoming border.

(16,534 posts)In election years we're normally splattered with GOP signs, there are very few this year. Yesterday I drove by two houses that are always the "first and mostest" with repub signage, both have removed the Trump signs; at one of those houses, the car and pickup in the driveway had the Trump stickers removed. Crazy.

(11,816 posts)One of 3 Trump signs on our street came down this week, but the house's local signs are still up, as are the 2 others, so you know it's deliberate, not stolen.
Our "mixed marriage" (R+D) next door neighbors are supporting their first-ever lawn sign - for Hillary.

(90,775 posts)I never saw a debate where the lying was just so staggeringly glaring and constant as the Tim Kaine/Pinocchio Pence debate was. Unless you factor in any debate featuring Trump.

(4,642 posts)In a 99.9% Con area, I can never keep a sign in my yard for more then one day. I'm looking for a Trump/Puttin sign, that may fool them.

(29,685 posts)In the 2008 primaries and through the election, I just kept my Hillary button in my pocket. I live in Seattle, but even here, I felt that I just didn't want to deal with it. I was bullied at the 2008 caucuses, for the 2016 caucuses, most Hillary supporters I know didn't even go (Hillary later won the primary vote held after the caucuses, with a much larger margin than the phony-baloney caucuses). I've worn a Hillary button on off and on in Seattle and have not received one positive comment. I know she'll win Washington, but I also know that her support is quiet.
I've even left political discussion boards over it. But the crazier Donald gets, the less the hostility; people seem relieved to have a sane option.

(2,396 posts)and in the Madras-Redmond stretch quite a few Trump-Pence signs were proudly displayed on the farm fences. Those were the only signs I saw of any kind on the whole trip.

(17 posts)I'm in a rural red county of a really red state. I haven't seen any Hillary signs in my area (as expected), but the number of Trump signs has been pretty small in comparison to GOP signs in the past around here. Obviously, yard signs aren't a real predictor, but I like to imagine that they signify something encouraging about enthusiasm. If Trump's antics depress the vote here, that could be significant toward turning my state purple.
I plan to vote for every Democrat on my ballot. In situations where, sadly, no democrats run (not uncommon here), I will abstain if only a R runs and vote third party if a non-R runs. The Republican party needs to be humiliated as much as possible so they can't play the victim game claiming that Trump was some kind of outlier.

(12,046 posts)Mine is the only Clinton sign I have seen, but I seriously think rational people are scared of idiot rednecks tearing up their shit if they put up a sign. I have noticed that a few of the Trump signs on the highway have actually come down as we get closer to the election... perhaps some of the fools do experience a bit of shame... who knew?

(26,113 posts)My back neighbors are Repug consultants, and always have lots of RW signs, but none that I've seen, and I walk by there daily, until now. Yesterday I saw 2 TP signs taped to the inside of their picture windows. Think the yard signs must have been disappearing really quickly or they never would have done that. It really lessens the impact, especially since they went with white signs, not blue, lol.
