the KARMA of this election is insane -- to have the first serious female presidential candidate

go up against the UBER-sexist creep Trump!!!

For all the people who voted for Bernie in the primary, and I was one of them, I now feel like it was some sort of destiny to have this showdown. Like, in the end, Hillary WAS the perfect person to go up against him!

Now it almost seems like all other issues are secondary to this ultimate showdown between a horrible sexist man and the first female presidential candidate of a major party.

And she is going to beat him badly!!!

to our state's onerous caucus, because I didn't have a strong preference between Hillary and Obama.

But I did this time, and it was upsetting to see her so disparaged, often by people who weren't old enough to remember all the battles she's been through -- even since she told Arkansas voters she'd decided to keep her maiden name.

I just found an inexpensive RED jacket to wear on November 8th, and hopefully again on Inauguration day. I can't wait!

tRump's boorishness and bluster may be the very reason many Publicans voted for him, knowing that he would be going up against ( no pun!) a woman and thinking that - of course - his macho toughness would win out.

Hillary had to be incredibly motivated to put herself into this battle, and she is.

And the reality we women and POC would have been put on the back burner for many years. As ugly as it is, it's about time we had this referendum on sexism and racism and put them in their place- the dustbin.

It's a fringe thing for Sanders but those BOBs were just as hateful as what we are seeing now. And they both shared the same source material for their attacks on Hillary.

With the election of President Obama, the racist majority of the GOP was terrified and really started overtly showing their true colors. Meanwhile, President Obama took what conservative policies they had, made them work as best as possible, and continued to have some surprising successes in the face of the most obstructionist congress in recent memory. Trump really does represent the views of what the GOP had built as their base since the Southern Strategy, and I think there are a couple reasons having the Democratic primary be the way it was gave fuel to Trump's candidacy. It's a combination of empowerment and fear. For decades the GOP demonized Clinton specifically, and and "socialists" like Sanders had been demonized for even longer by almost everybody. Trump and Cruz become the most ideal candidates to empower terrified bigots in the face of their worst fears coming true, and Trump is able to out-bigot anybody. Trump's rise probably would have been more predictable if we'd discarded more recent conventional political wisdom, and taken a longer look at the tea party movement, southern strategy, and humiliation of Romney's loss. I'm looking forward to the historical analysis of this election years down the road should Clinton be elected as expected now.
